An update on n0hartandsole from a few days ago (October 5th). Been busy!

“”Go home. Forget this thing. I can recognize an obsession, no good will come of it.”
“Why, haven’t good come of your obsessions? “
“Well at first. But I followed them too long. I’m their slave… and one day they’ll choose to destroy me.”
“If you understand an obsession then you know you won’t change my mind.”

Picture from twitpic. Thanks for posting that, omgiitsnicole.  I guess it’s one of the surprises that were sent out, yes?

last two posts courtesy of ninjachele. thanks!

apparantly that thefutureisonehundredandsixsecondsago website is to do with a band called years gone by, but we’ll keep you posted anyway in case there are any changes (their ep will be released on the 6th).

anyone else getting bored of shenanigans all the time? i mean, it’s fun and all, with one or two bands for sure… but now it’s starting to get a tiny bit old. all the same, keep going!

keep submitting you guys:

HMMM

I don’t know if you already have this but I just noticed that one the http://www.thefutureisonehundredandsixsecondsago.com/#00 site the words that appear along the side (if they’re not there just start clicking on stuff besides “we start” or “hand written list of dates”) and under the title Old News the words repeated over and over that are upside down and backwards are “IT’S EVERYTHING WORTH DYING FOR” which I am not sure if it’s important or not…or if you already have it somewhere
we did notice, but didn’t post it. thanks!

really now.
click for another possibly-related shenanigan site.
clicking “we start” links to an MP3 that sounds like it needs reversing. at the end of the mp3 someone whispers, “things are coming. it’s up to you next.”
edit: reversing the mp3 makes even less sense - i’ll post it anyway soon.

Caitlin [stands no chance at all] says:

*The comments on “You’re A Magician…” are quotes from The Prestige. One of the characters in the movie does say “Abracadabra” at some point, but I can’t remember when and what it was related to. In The Prestige there is a key to the illusion, and the word is “TESLA” though this is incorrect when you type it into intelligenceisartificial.com…

*In The Prestige the key is unlocked using a transposition cipher which this postcard could turn out to be in it’s entirety?

EDIT:

the prestige:

*Every great magic trick consists of three parts or acts. The first part is called “The Pledge”. The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a man. He shows you this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course… it probably isn’t. The second act is called “The Turn”. The magician takes the ordinary something and ma

*makes it do something extraordinary. Now you’re looking for the secret… but you won’t find it, because of course you’re not really looking. You don’t really want to know. You want to be fooled. But you wouldn’t clap yet. Because making something disappear isn’t enough; you have to bring it back. That’s why every magic trick has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call “The Prestige”.”
